Vigor makes you move 40% faster and regain stamina faster; manage it by pairing a Vigor trigger with Ride The Wave while the crowd is going wild. In Chained Beasts, Vigor is a status, while Ride The Wave is a Trainer skill that keeps an existing Vigor effect running under that crowd condition. Your build needs a way to gain Vigor before you can keep it going.
What does Vigor do in Chained Beasts?
Vigor increases your movement speed by 40% and speeds up stamina recovery. The Vigor tooltip on the Healer screen reads “Move 40% faster and regain stamina faster.”

That makes Vigor useful when you need to reposition and recover stamina. Build around keeping those benefits available, then add protection through skills or equipment if you get the opportunity.
How do you get Vigor?
You gain Vigor through a trigger in your build; a throwing setup can grant 2 seconds of Vigor when you throw. One player used that setup to keep gaining Vigor through repeated throws. You need the relevant skill effect for this approach, so check your skill text before treating every throw as a Vigor trigger.
A separate skill option grants you Vigor for 3 seconds when you hit an ally, while giving that ally Fury. That makes it a conditional option for Chained Beasts co-op, but hitting a teammate can hurt them. Favor a trigger you can repeat without putting your partner at risk.
How do you keep Vigor active with Ride The Wave?
Ride The Wave prevents Vigor from ending while the crowd is going wild. At the Trainer, look for its skill card and the Learn button.

- Get a working Vigor trigger in your build.
- Learn Ride The Wave when the Trainer offers it.
- Trigger Vigor and keep the crowd going wild to preserve it.
One player kept throwing to gain Vigor and sustain the crowd's excitement, letting Ride The Wave maintain the effect. That combination is worth pursuing when your throws already do both jobs. If you struggle to keep the crowd wild, prioritize a reliable trigger before relying on the extension.
Ride The Wave depends on both an active Vigor effect and a wild crowd. Treating it as unconditional permanent Vigor can leave you relying on speed and stamina recovery after its crowd condition stops protecting the effect.
Does Vigor ignore afflictions or let you avoid attacks?
Those defensive benefits require Push through the Pain or Emerald Necklace; Vigor's base effects are movement speed and stamina recovery.
Push through the Pain
Push through the Pain lets you ignore afflictions during Vigor. Look for the skill at the Trainer, where its card says “Ignore afflictions during vigor.”

Choose this synergy when afflictions are making your run harder and you can maintain Vigor reliably. The benefit lasts during Vigor, so plan around that window rather than treating it as a permanent cure. Read Chained Beasts afflictions when deciding how to handle the afflictions themselves.
Emerald Necklace
Emerald Necklace gives you a 50% chance to avoid attacks while Vigor is active. At the Merchant, it appears as an Equipment card with that condition in its description.

This is a useful defensive pairing for a build with dependable Vigor uptime. Keep avoiding incoming attacks yourself: a chance to avoid a hit still leaves room for that hit to land, so it is a poor reason to squeeze in one greedy attack.
